Here are my 3 dyno charts from the other day, when I just finished up the LT header install. This includes all the mods in my sig, on CR's 93 oct tune. The A/F reading on these charts is 1 point higher than reality. So yeah, it's running rich. I leaned it 6% between runs 1 and 2, and 4% more b/t rus 2 and 3. Wideband sensor was jacked up on run 3. CR is working on an adjusted tune so we'll see how that helps.

Run 2:

Run 3:

Also of note. My CEL came on this morning. Almost predictable DTC:
· P0153 02 Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
Anyway, I cleared it, and hopefully CR can tweak that in the tune too.

I got a new tune for you, that should bring that AFR back up a point, maybe to about 12.8ish. I see that point where it really fattens up top end, we're going to take care of that too. It's really running right around 11.5 consistantly. Too bad you dont have a blower! LOL

I'll send that tune over a little later today. THANKS!

THANKS CR!!

I'm looking fwd to it. I'll try to load it and hit a different dyno (DynoJet) on Wed. just to check the differences and monitor A/F again.

I'll keep you posted!

Well I got the latest tune on the car. It sure seemed to run pretty good this morning! Even tho it was 80* and 85% humid at 6:30am?!?

I check MPG this morning too. It was up to 21.5!! Not bad for mostly mixed driving.

The CEL didn't even come on today!!

The dyno time will likely be next Tuesday evening.

I could get one or the other started, but not both together. Having that in mind, and since I pulled the header out anyway, I busted out the Dremel to open thing up a little, just on the outer most edges of those front and rear most slots on top.
Yup - that's what I found too

Re. the sound, I like the nascar/metallic sound you're talking about. You can hear it in my videos http://www.mustang-gtcs.info/videos.htm

Good job and great write up!

Thanks Stig. I'm sure I roll with it for a while.

Tomorrow I'm gonna hit a dyno to check out A/F and #s, so that may be exciting, or disappointing.

Stig, your right about the metallic sound when you get on the gas a bit. I LOVE THAT SOUND!!! So much that I don't listen to my radio as much as before!

What I love about the setup is that I can tootle along with little throttle and it sounds very subdued, but once the hammer goes down, it sounds like the 7 gates of hell have been opened! Sounds completely different as it goes through the rev range - I love it

SO TRUE!!! If I want the attention going into a show, coast in neutral, and give it a 4,500 rpm throttle blip. The looks are priceless!!

Well Hopefully I'll be able to finally here what my car sounds like later on today, the harmonic balancer bolt is not wanting to go back on that easy. I've got everything back on the engine except harmonic balancer, after I get it back on I can re-install the charge cooler reservoy. Supercharger back on,cams in,headers on, now just get that bolt back in and we'll be cranking her up.

Dyno later today!!

But my real point for posting, is to let y'all know I haven't had the CEL for P0153 (O2 sensor not ready) come on for the last few days. Maybe it's just been warm enough weather that the O2 sensor heats up fast enough, or I haven't let it idle at start up very long before driving off.

I'll let y'all know how the #s look. Unfortunately the weather is not going to be ideal for making good #s. Supposed to be about 94*F and humid this afternoon. That might keep me from reaching my goal of 325 rwhp today.

That's going to bump the numbers down just a little bit. But atleast we can get the tune perfect for running hot. I know you guys don't do much skiing down in TX.

Well here are the results from the dyno run.
Read 'em and weep...........in sorrow with me.

You can see the mods in the sig. A little disappointing to me.
At least the headers sound good.

FYI, there were 2 other stangs that dyno'd after me. For comparison, here is roughly their info:

Stang 1:
-06 Mustang GT manual
-Demolet CAI, Bama 87 oct tune, moto UDPs, CMCV DPs, cattless H-pipe, Pypes over axle and tail pipe (loud SOB).
-A/F mid to low 13s thru out run.
-300HP/317TQ

Stang 2:
-06 Mustang GT manual
-JLT CAI, Bama 93 oct tune, CMCV DPs, cattless H-pipe, don't remember the axle backs.
-A/F low 13.2 to 12.8
-301HP/318TQ

Looks like loosing the cats is as effective for making power as adding LT headers!?!

So what do you think?

Man I thought you could get at least 310rwhp today. Maybe it was the different dyno that made the numbers different. You dynoed on a mustang dyno first, then on a dynojet, so maybe that had sumtin to do with it...
