JLT oil catch can + aftermarket fuel rail
JLT oil catch can + aftermarket fuel rail
So I went ahead an purchased the JLT oil catch can. I already had the Scott Drake fuel rails and did not bother to read much about them together before I bought the catch can... so I did not know they do not go very well together. A quick trip to McLendon Hardware (Lowe's or Home Depot works also) and got a couple of things and got it to fit. Figured I'd share here in case other people want to get theirs done. Takes 10 minutes to put it all together!

Here's what I got from their piping section... I am starting from the can to the tube that I took off the can:
3/8 - 3/8 male/female adapter. The 3/8 male is a different kind of thread (can't remember the term) and not standard. The 3/8 female is a standard thread
3/8 - 3/8 male/male 90 fitting
16 inch with 3/8 size nut flex tube
3/8 - 3/8 female/male adapter. This one is the opposite of the first one... the 3/8 female is the non standard thread
PVC seal tape.
I might be a bit off on a couple of the adapter sizes, but I do know that the JLT line is 3/8 with non standard thread.
Put them all together and make sure to seal with the tape and not tighten too much as a couple of the pieces could break. I broke one in the store as I was putting it together (1st adapter).
You can also get a longer tube if you want... the 16 inch one works ok for me and I might get a longer one when I get my turbo installed.
Also, you might want to get new fasteners to replace the ones that came with the catch can... those are not too tight on the black tube and will cause the tube to slip off... get those ones with a screw.
Did about 5 miles with the car and I was already collecting some oil!
