Well I'm ready for an intake. I've made my mind up on the JLT over the current C&L but with C&L coming out with a new version, should I wait? Anybody know if this new C&L will add more HP?

from BRENSPEED:
There is a racer version that will be out next month. It will have a big mass air and a plastic inlet pipe. This is designed for serious naturally aspirated engines. As normal I will dyno it when they are done and have the packages available.

I think I would be inclined to wait it out until more details arrive. JLT nor any of the others are not going away. Might keep you from saying "I wished I'd waited" later on.

How big of a difference is there? Any approximate gain numbers or anything? And pricing?

All I know about the new upcoming C&L is from the thread I linked in my first post. I'm itching for an intake but would like to know more about this before I order anything else.

I'm ordering the C&L from Lidio now because the 90mm was plastic from what I read and I would rather have the aluminum right now. They also were not expecting much in power gains at this point.

......Huhhh, so why did C&L go larger and plastic?

For comparison sake....

Brenspeed showed an increase in HP between the WMS 80mm MAF and the 95MM MAF. So to say the 90MM C&L wont make power because of "what I read" is a bit premature.
People need to speak from experience as not to confuse others, it makes things easier.

Let the vendors come out with the produtcs, and go from there is my advice. I would wait if the C&L has your interest.

C&L now is $369 I expect new system to be more but who knows. JLT is what $170. You could get the JLT and then also the JET TB spacer for less shipped. OR the JLT and thepanhards from BMR for about the same.

Either way you'll want a tune and thats an extra $400 or so.

Tough to beat the priceerformance ratio for the JLT. The JLT/SCT2 combo will be my first upgrade when the car arrives.

Just read the new MMFF article on the new BBK intake and new throttle body. That threw me into thinking again about the intake choice.
