Any thoughts on the new BBK CAI and TB?
MMFF did a review and install of the new BBK CAI and TB. Claimed a lot of HP with no tuning needed? I know we have beat up K & N about not needing a tune? But BBK and MMFF claim that even with a bigger TB and CAI no tune needed? HP gained with both installed was 27 HP and 38 ft/lb of torque.
Wonder what you could gain with a tune designed for such a set up? That begs the question wonder if the good folks at Bama chips, Bren speed, nino sport, etc...... will offer a predator or SCT2 tuners to make the most of this set up?
So far it does not apprear to be onsale yet, or a price? I would guess 600 bucks for the TB and CAI... plus a tuner set up?
Off subject, is the TB the new CFM carb issue of years ago? For those of old enought to remember, there was a limit to too much cfm for the CID. You could not strap on a Holley 850 CFM double pumper and get much more out of a 289/302 that you could with a 650 dbl pumper, with out changing heads, pistons, cam etc.
Just speculating..
