I notched the filter by the MAF like Jay said and also used RC airplane glue along the edge of the filter. No way this baby is coming off without damaging the filter and pipe! When it's time to clean I'll take the whole assemly off to clean, no problem.
I really don't see what all the fuss is about. Apply the fixes like Jay said, add some glue, put some $2 insulation over radiator hose and it's perfect. Take less than 10 minutes. Overall the JLT with fixes is still way cheaper and better performing than other CAI's.
As far as engine failsafe mode almost causing a wreck, that's the risk you take when modding. My first mod to my 05 was and SCT tuner from Modular Depot. All I did was flash the 87 octane tune and engine failsafe mode came on a couple of times, once when I was turning across oncoming traffic, very scary. So I flashed back to stock until I could get a better tune and test it out before driving in traffic. I understood the risks, that's why I did more testing until it was fixed rather than start an uproar about Modular Depot's tune! That's also why I used the RC glue on my JLT even though I wasn't experiencing any problems, because I beleive I am responsible for my own safety!
Jay -- Great product! I'm behind you 100%

Dito. People need to stop whinning about this, it's a great product, more HP/TQ gains than others, and great presentation (with the color matching). Jay is nothing but helpful and professional. Can't do it yourself? Ship it. He'll do it for you, WHAT ELSE DO PEOPLE WANT!
