I was wondering if anyone had this chip or had some information on it. I can't seem to find a whole lot of info other then what is here:

http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=532769

It seems like a good option for those of us who just want to improve throttle response and gain a little power. Also looks like its use it not trackable by the dealer (since you can just unplug it) so those of us worried about our warranties won't have a problem.

Any opinoins, comments, info?

Thanks

I can tell you that it is an unknown at this time as far as performance gains or reliability of the product. What I can tell you is my X-calibrator has helped provide horsepower that cannot be questioned. I have great mileage on the highway, up to 22mpg, and my car runs consistent 12.90's at 108mph on street tires. The tune was not detected at anytime that I have had it at the Ford dealer by any of their scanners/diagnostic tools, even when I asked them to look for it.

Thanks that is some good info. So you are saying you actually told them you had a tune and asked them to see if they could detect it and they couldn't? That is good news.

How much is the jet module vs the xcalibrator. Then there is the expense of tuning it on a dyno.
which one is the better deal?

$200 bucks for the jet mudle and adds up to 22 horsepower, shown on RPM Outlet, sounds good enough for me, get this plus the K&N Air Charger, thats about 40 horsepower total and is 100-200 bucks cheaper than any other co's CAI and predator/xcalibrator combo package

I have the JET on my car to try out and it has been on the vehicle for about 2 weeks now.I will give you the best impressions of this module to date.

Very easy install ~ 10 minutes or so
Improved throttle reponse~ seems to have gotten rid of the "drive by wire" lag issues we experience
Overall better drivability and the engine seems to run smoother.

**A performance increase: I would say yes.I would not say 22hp though
Is it worth it for guys who just want a little extra kick without the potential dealer issues of a re-flash?: Yes
** Is it worth the $200 ish bucks for one?: I would say yes if you understand that you will not get alot of performance out of it, but you will pick up a little extra and definately better throttle response.

Will I be keeping mine?: No. Since I had a customer of mine send it to me who is also a JET dealer, it was a "special deal" for me to test it out and see if I liked it before I did my predator reflash with the shaker system, pullies and all the other goodies that are going on the car.So, my JET module will be for sale soon, but i DO recommend it for those who are looking for a little extra punch out of their cars, but don't expect to be doing alot of perfomance work down the road.

Just curious to see how much you want for it?

I had one in my Jeep Wrangler and noticed that it seem to run smoother and rev up quicker. I'm not quite ready to void my warranty, but would like to increase throttle response.

You might want to rethink your hp addition from your previous post. You are not going to get 40hp with the jet module and the K&N. People going CAIs and complete retunes are only averaging 25 to 30hp.
