JBA Longtubes and H-pipe
#2
The light will come on. Mainly because the old H-Pipe didn't come with sensor bung's welded in them. I didn't run the cat sensor's because of this. The new H-Pipe's thier sending out should have them and you'll be O.K. JBA is sending me some bung's to weld in, should take car of the light. A tune should help get more power and you will be able to adjust the air/fuel ratio. Is a tune absolutly nessasary? I would say less so, than changing the air intake IMO. You will LOVE the sound that's for sure, as long as you like it extremley LOUD!

Derek, Ya unfortunately I had to do it in my garage and with a jack and stands. That is what added alot of time to the install. It's not that it is impossible with out one, it's just all the sliding under and back out about a 1000 time's that rack's up time and pain!! I used a very small bottle jack and a wooden wedge (under the bottle jack) to lift the motor. There's a relatively flat spot on the cross-member directly under the motor mount where I placed the bottle jack (I used the wooden wedge to shim the jack up), and I lifted against the motor mount. But that won't work If your changing the motor mount's too. :notnice: When my motor mount's arrive, I was planing on using an engine hoist, you may need to do the same. There's not many good spot's under the motor to jack from. I sure wished I would have done my motor mount's at the same time....I thought about it, but JBA wasn't recomending it at that time. :bang:
Another thing I had to do, was remove all the stud's on the passenger side. JBA say's in thier instructions to leave the top forward stud in, then place your gasket on, then the header. I couldn't make up the header with that stud in place, so I removed it. Just a head's up if you have a hard time, remove the last stud and it'll go on! If you have any more question's I'll try to answer them the best I can. Good luck.
