Introductions and track times.

Hi,
Long time lurker here..
I have a 2005 Mustang GT (M5)
Screaming Yellow
Steeda CAI
Custom Tune
4.10s
Magnaflow axle backs
First time at the track.. Had 2 runs.
Was raining so we were hoping the day wouldnt be called, since I live an hour away.. After waiting for 3 hrs they opened up the staging lanes.
It was crazy humid, the cars looked wet. I figured.. since I was out here anyways.. may as well take a couple of runs.
1st RUN
RT - .7220
60ft - 1.8558
330ft - 5.5481
1/8ET - 8.6168
1/8MPH - 80.53
1/4ET - 13.4920
1/4MPH - 101.10
2nd RUN
RT - .5460
60ft - 1.8730
330ft - 5.5660
1/8ET - 8.6320
1/8MPH - 80.64
1/4ET - 13.5041
1/4MPH - 101.04
I was told the strong headwind and humidity being 100% was not optimal conditions...
I'm pretty happy with the times. Both runs were on Mickey Thompson Drag Radials 275/40/17s @ 16psi launching at 4200rpm. Granny shifting also.. didnt want to go ***** out, being first time at track. There was a slight bog off the line... hopefully next time I'm there the conditions will be better.
This week I'm getting a Zex Nitrous kit installed.. with MSD Window Switch, Bottle Heater, Remote Botttle Opener, Nitrous Purge, and 2 a-pillar gauges.. Nitrous pressure/A/F meter. I'm hoping for some decent runs. Going with 100hp jettings and another custom tune. What would be decent times for this combo?
I've learned alot from the community here, and hope to contribute.
Thanks!

New best time this morning..
Had to go back, since the weather was better.
A bunch of 13.4. 13.3s were the average..
my last run of the day, i guess with more rubber and vht on the track cut a better 60ft time.
RT - .6002
60ft - 1.8088
330ft - 5.4628
1/8ET - 8.487
1/8MPH - 81.83
1/4ET - 13.2769
1/4MPH - 103.21

yes, sorry I was on drag radials.
I bought 18" rims with Goodyear F1 GS-D3s and I didn't think they would be that great on the track, so I bought drag radials for the stock bullits.
Sorry for any confusion.

1.8 60' times are possible on the stock Pirelli's. There is a sweet spot as far as staged rpm's and feathering the clutch. It took me roughly 20 passes to get it down pat. It will tear up the clutch though figuring it out and running that way everytime. It just takes practice.

Right now, Im dropping the clutch at 4grand and doing a small burnout.. < 3seconds.
Try to stage as quickly as possible, and 4200rpm launch. I get some spin then a bog.. I think I need to feather the clutch a bit more.. or experiment.
So much to think about at the track. Any tips would be appreciated.
I have nitrous installed this week, but was also thinking about longtubes and pullies.. suggestions?

Sorry I missed the DRs in the post.
I have been leaving around 3500 slipping the clutch and can only get 2.0s consistantly on a so-so track. This was my first time out in an 05 and I ran a best of 13.60@104 with just a 93 octane tune. I was happy with the MPH and know there are 13.2s to 13.3s with just the tune and a better 60 foot

I have a whole bunch of pictures of my NX nitrous install for ya if you need ideas for your bottle mounting.
A 100 shot is usually good for dropping your ET by about 1 second or so. My N/A run was 13.7 @ 101 and on the juice it was 12.9 @ 113. Stock gears, tires and LCAs. I should be able to improve upon that this Friday
