Interest in a Tillman Speed S197 Turbo System?
Testing the waters. If anyone has any interest in a reasonably priced turbo system, complete with intercooler, fuel system, turbo, everything neccessary for install, custom tuning, mail order and installed in-house.
What is a fair price range that would seal the deal? (Smart asses need-not respond!
)
What kind of horsepower/boost levels? Would you like the kit to be fully adjustable? Should I make these things an option at the time of purchase?

I think 5-6k based on kit and boost levels(more parts needed for higher power I would assume). Personally I'd like to have 400-450RWHP which is lower than a lot of people want going FI but I would also want the ability(for lack of a better word) to raise those levels as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Dont be whipple and charge 7K though the smart asses will come out then

Not that I'd consider it(still want a Whipple too bad), but I think to make it interesting for most people, the total cost of everything would have to come within range of a twinscrew. So I guess we're talking at least 425-450 rwhp between $6k-$7k(which includes a tune and install costs). Probably a steep request, but just throwin it out there.

So if we get a kit, fully loaded for 5000-5500, and is fully adjustable from 400-475RWHP, and then a kit that's around $6500 that's fully adjustable from 475-600+RWHP we'd have some luck?

Alright.... we need a test vehicle:
2005+ Mustang GT Manual Transmission...
Price would be cost on the parts and half-off on the labor (should make the labor around $500 bucks). We would need the car for about a week.

Not that I could get my car to Pa from Oregon or anything but why does it have to be a manual? Is thier something I dont know about that makes putting a turbo on a an auto harder or impoosible?

Not at all. The car doesn't HAVE to be a manual, but the way we're going to do this kit might vary slightly between auto and manual. Our kit is going to be alot different from the kits that are out on the market right now. Plumbing wise, slight differences, and turbo placement, as well as materials used will be different. Wastegate(s) changes.

is this kit going to be offroad or similar to the turbonetics setup using the existing cats and not venting to the atmosphere? what are your plans?
the routing of the exhaust on the turbonetics kit has to be modified to go around the auto transmission. it clears the manual trans no issues

This is going to be a long tube turbo kit! 
That's why we're doing manual transmission first. We need a manual test car for a week - week and a half.
The whole kit should be around 5500-5900 with fuel system ready for 450-650RWHP. GT500 fuel system, and your choice of 39lb or 60lb injectors, and two different MAF sensors. I have to get the kit plumbed first.

LOL. Auto guys, have no fear... there will be a simple part number difference that will swap some piping in order to fit. I wish we were near Houston, too! Winters up here aren't too fun!
