Plain and simple. It is always safer to intercool. Always

I ran with no cooler and believe that it is perfectly safe assuming safe, custom tuning is used and a relatively small amount of boost.

That being said, Scott's statement above is 100% accurate- it is always safer (atleast to some degree) to use an intercooler.

If your going to pay that much money for a supercharger plus your getting a whipple it's way safer to get the IC..... But in general the I/C his helping to keep everything undercontrol.

Think about it this way. You are going to add something to your car that makes 100 more horses and your running with the same stock cooling system... Doesn't make much sense right?? So add the I/C for the added horses to help maintain proper temps....

Have you ever felt a supercharger unit after it has been run? It gets extemely hot... Plus you'll love the extra horses that the I/C lets you use due to the increased boost.

I couldn't be more pleased.

PM me if your interested in a great shop to install.

Looking at your suspension mods and your brake mods, you seem like the type of guy who doesn't want to do it half assed.

I'd say keep up with that notion, as who wants to spend the type of money these blowers cost, only to limit themselves to 4-6 psi.

Trust me, you will not be happy at those boost levels, and you will just end up paying more money for an intercooler and pulley swap. Do it right the first time, and you will thank us later.

Look at Tom's situation.... he WAS (past tense) running a non-intercooled Vortech. However, in his defense, it was a smart move since the Paxton intercooler is much better than the Vortech.

Ah shux, thanks Nick (beginning to blush as I'm typing)....... Ok seriously though I agree with what you're saying. Right on.
