installing rear Steeda ultralite springs only?
I ordered the ultra-lite kit from Steeda the other day, and have been reviewing alot of the threads on lowering. Looking for opinions on whether or not I should just do the rear springs only, or do the whole kit. Also, would like to know how those of you, who have the ultralite kit like the ride, handling etc. I spoke to steeda and from reading the threads, I understand that this kit is just a slight drop in front, and should be a pretty close to factory ride.
Thanks

I did just that very thing, rears only. 2 main reasons, 1) Simplicity, the rears are VERY easy to install, the front are, well..... "more involved". 2) Leveling, with just the rear dropped, my car looks plumb level (in fact the front fender opening is 27.75" from the ground, the rear is a hair under 28").
Here are some pairs of before (upper) and after (lower) pics.
I still have the front Ultralites, and may someday get them installed. For now, I sure like the level lower look. I didn't really notice much difference in ride, except for when I have 3-4 people in the car, it gets a little unforgiving on rough roads, but that doesn't happen very often.
You can always install the rears first, see how you like it, then install the fronts later, or when you have some other front end work done.

Install both, it makes the front look really aggressive. With out the springs, it looks like it is 4x4 clearance.
If you go with aftermarket tires and rims, you can adjust the side wall height to adjust the car back to level. I have both done and have never regretted it.
Note, some who drag race, say leave the stock springs to allow the transfer of weight on launch. My pony is show and go. I will take it out after the new 4.10's to see my best 1/4 time for bragging rights.

I installed both front and back pair of Ultralite springs in mine, stock shock/struts. Rides pretty excellent to me, very close to how it rides stock, and it did tighten up the handeling of the car noticably imo.

A panhard bar is nice to have. I went with the BMR one. IF you are even considering going with bigger tires and such, you will need it to recenter the axel. You can use your old one and measure to see if you really need to change to an adjustable one.

I installed the Steeda Ultralite springs in my 06 last week. I also installed a BMR adjustable panhard bar because the rear end was off center before the drop. I was able to get the front end aligned without camber bolts, it was close but still within factory specs.
Ride height after the drop is 27 3/4" in the front and 28" in the rear. The ride is slightly harsher than stock so I might upgrade the struts and shocks in the future.
Here are some pics, she' dirty in the after pic.

Sams66- No, i didnt have to do cam bolts, CC plates or anything like that, they were able to bring it back into factory spec by just honing out the upper strut bolt a little and moving it inwards.
