Will the box make it a ram air set up?

Very nice write up. Can't wait to see some more independent numbers with the box. Are you using the X-cal or Predator?

Even though it's called "ram air", I think the box will be more or less a heat shield only. I suspect it will be a very good one though!

Yes it will be more of a heat sheild IMO as well outdoorstom

Many views, but lack or replies here. Doesn't anyone have any input on this, or is everyone waiting for brenspeed's numbers today?

Glad I rushed to get what little info I could for this write up above. We wanted some type of numbers out there, I thought many were interested in this info.......or something

Great write up Spiro! Can't wait to see your #s for the tune with the ram air box. Actually, I can't wait for mine to get here. I'm hoping it will be here by Friday so I can install it on this 3day weekend coming up

Thanks for posting and giving us your feedback.

Lyin' King, U know U read it

Hatchman,

I felt it was appropiate to delete until further testing was completed. Im simply waiting for the heat shield box to complete testing. I had nothing but positive things to say, but the numbers were low due to fan wash...

Besides...we have numbers to look forward to some time today from brenspeed. Im curious how it does for them. This intake is promising...for sure.

Yur right my friend and it was nothing to be ashamed of .

Lacking any other information about the WMS (hint, hint) and having invested my life savings in a complete system , I came back to savor your write-up and it was gone .

I've said from the onset that without the tray the system didn't make sense and you knew it too.

It was your post so it's yours to do with as you see fit. You have my respect for taking the thing in to see what she'd do anyway :worship: .

Its all good, I saved what I typed, but want to test some more, or see other results. Im hopeful on the box, if right, it will work well.
Anyway...

Here are some pics I snapped tonight. Had the front end apart looking into things, and decided to take a few pics with the hood in the closed position, now was the time..right.
The grille is removed, so it was easier to get a camera close enough to view the filter from its location, in action.
