Installed C&L CAI Today, Couple of Questions

Got everything put on and installed my Brenspeed Tune today. All I can say is I love it. One question I have though is it normal for the filter shroud to rest on the anti-lock brake lines? I know it says to attach the zip tie to the lines to secure the shroud but I don't like it resting there. Anybody put padding between the 2? I put the shroud in without the kit and I don't see any other way of it resting in there. Otherwise, I'm very impressed with the two.

I lined the edge of the shroud as well as the hole which the MAF tube passes though with some rubber trim I got at the local auto parts store. It’s self adhesive and has not budged at all. I feel much better knowing the MAF tube and lines will not be rubbed by the hard plastic shield. I think the stuff costs maybe 5 dollars, and was made for the edge of the door. Comes in two long trimable strips. Hope this helps!

That sounds exactly like what I was thinking. Thanks for the advice. Is your resting against the brake lines as well?

Yes it is, but it does not seem to be causing any problems whatsoever.

I've had mine on this way for going on two years, no problems.

Had my C&L on for 3 years now. Only issue I have is that the plastic has cracked around the bolt hole (where the plastic is bolted to the inner fender well) - (far right of picture). Noticed it the other day, not sure how long it has been that way.
