Installed BMR LCAs

If you anticipate needing the strap - wouldn't it be easier to put it on the axle before removing the LCA? Then you don't have to pull anything back - it should stay pretty much in place.

I wouldn't do it first. You guys are worrying too much about the axle shift. It's not as dramatic as you think. It only moves about a half inch. It's impossible to tell how much to tighten it down, if you do it too much it will just move in the opposite direction. You can't click it back into position, you'd have to loosen it all the way then tighten, then guess what you're back to square one.
According to Tiffany at BMR the arms were supposed to come with an install sheet and will get it to me when she can. Jason is out. She says you have to grease them with marine grease. I'll probably have to update this thread later on when I have to take them out again and grease them.
Do you have to take the LCA's off to grease them...and while we are at it...what about the panhard rod????
I have both on my garage floor waiting for my car...but I installed a panhard on a friends GT and it seems you need to grease before you install....

Doesn't BMR or someone make an LCA with greaseable bushings?

Marine grease...........hmmmm, I just happen to have a grease gun full of just that left over from when I had my boat. I guess the high resistance to washout is what is needed.
The control arms do not need to come out to be greased, but the adjustable panhard bar has to be lubed prior to installation unless you change grease fittings. You won't be able to get a standard grease gun on the driver's side fitting.

Thought so on the panhard. We got it on then he tried to go get a gun to lube it....no go lol. I didnt think the lca would be like that.
I went for a ride today and wheel hopped on some wet pavement
:bang:
Looks like I need adjustable or non-adjustable upper control arms. I have no idea what I need but I'm still wheel hopping it seems. If I got adjustable I'm going to need help from somebody to dial them in. I'll wait until track season starts for that and have Mike or George help me dial in.
