Install problem driveshaft

I've put a Steeda 1piece alu driveshaft under my 2005 GT.
When heavy accellerating, the driveshaft touches the bottom of te car in about the middle of the driveshaft . Did I something wrong ?

No probably not, mine did that when the suspension bottomed out on a bump or dip. After a a month I pulled it out and saw (on the shaft) where it was bumping and worked it over with a hammer. There is a little unused bracket or something as I remember.

Is your car lowered?

Check your pinion angle, you may need an UCA to adjust it.

If it's a 4" DS, I'm guessing it's hitting the center hump in the trans tunnel. If so, do as Casey4s suggested. DS will have to be dropped to get to that area.

I don't think the LCA's have anything to do with this issue.

The Steeda shaft is tapered , and like I said mine doesn't hit or rub against anything. My car is lowered with the Steeda Sport springs and I also have their Billet LCA and relocation brackets , but not the adjustable UCA. If it's hitting on your car then it seems to me there must be something wrong ...

My powerhouse driveshaft did the same thing on my car. My car is stock ride height and the pinion angle was correct, I just get a ton of traction when launching at the track. All I did was take the d/s out, cut out that bump down area in the tunnel and it's been fine since.

If I remember correctly, it was hitting where the center bearing was for the 2 piece.
