Good question. I didn't get an extended warranty and just have the free dealer one, so no question there for me. But I think you could argue getting your money back if you paid for an extended one.

The Magnusson Act states that they can't void your entire warranty due to modifying the vehicle, just what the modification could possible cause damage to.

Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302©
