I just bought a SLP line lock!!!
Just bought a SLP line lock kit for my 05 GT vert. I have an auto trans and just put in a Precision Industries 3000 rpm stall converter last week. I never go to the track but just want to have some fun when I want.

Anything special I need to know about the install? Before the site crashed I read nothing but good things about this kit. I appreciate any help!!

I know the Cobra front fascia is on the way. So that counts for 1/2. That Mach 1 needs a torque converter and some line locks to have some fun with.
On a different note. I talked with Brenspeed today about updating my tune for the new TC. They said I already had all the tweeks required in my present tune. I asked about the October dyno day and the date is still not set in stone but it's going to happen.

I run the stock Pirelle's(spelling)?in the winter and spring months and Nitto's in the spring thru early fall months. Get into both!!!
I am not sure but is tires cheaper to replace than brakes??

but isnt that a added benefit from the line locks to reduce brake "abusage" compared to doing a burnout on your own? the front wont wear cause they arent moving while using the line lock and if you ever notice with brakes on any vehicle that if you peak in past the caliper the pads just barely touch the rotors, so while doing your burnout with line locks im sure you will have to worry about little to no wear on your brakes. just my thought!

Should be a fun mod, if I didn't just do something stupid involving coil overs I would of had these by now. Not that I need them, they are simply a lot of fun!
Are you doing the cruise control mod to engage or a switch?

I would think that it comes with a momentary switch..... not a rocker type. A momentary switch would engage your solenoids with one push, then disengage them with the 2nd push. But I could be wrong. I've been looking at them for the Mach just haven't paid any attention to the switch since I would be using my own anyway.

I'll check out that potential spot also.
Just had our 34th wedding aniversary on Sunday. While I am okay with telling little white lies I don't/ can't want to tell the whole truth.
That's why I chose to just say it is a "brake modification".
Seemed as middle of the road as I can get!!!
It comes with a simple black toggle. I ended up purchasing a covered rocker switch for my install.
There's a few threads running around the net about how to wire it to the cruise controls buttons... that would be stealth!!

On my 05 GT, I used the cruise control off button to activate my line-locks. I wired it so that the switch would activate a relay which then powered the line-locks. My wiring also included a toggle switch hidden in the compartment of the center console, that controlled whether the crusie control off button was used for line-locks or as normal. It was very handy being able to just use your left thumb to activate the line-locks. I plan to do the exact same setup for my 08 SGT.

Thanks for all the good ideas guys. I am leaning to a simple rocker switch located where Tom281's picture shows because it is easy to reach and looks clean. But I would be concerned about activating it when I didn't want to. So I am thinking about a second switch inside the armrest area also that would be a safety switch. If I didn't do the second safety switch what in the hell would happen if you activated the line locks while driving?
Seems like it could be ugly.
