I got the Hurst shifter for Xmas and love it. The increased effort to shift took some getting used to, but it's a much improved feel over stock.

But apparently mine was missing the rubber boot adapter that's like a grommet, fitting between the handle and the factory boot.

I called the Hurst technical department, and the guy told me it was part number 1140015. However, he said that all their inventory was "in transit" being shipped to some B&M warehouse, so he couldn't send me the part. Instead, he suggested I call the reseller I got the shifter from, and ask him if he could open a box on the shelf and send me the adapter from that, and he could get a new one from Hurst.

So I contacted LM Performance who sold the shifter, and Leon wrote back that he would try and get the part out to me. Well, this was over three weeks ago, and I haven't heard from Leon since, despite a couple of emails I sent asking about the status.

Does anyone know if I can get this boot adapter some other way?

 

I might be able to get one for you if you can hang in till early next week.

send Leon the whole thing back if it was not correct to begin with and get a full refund ? send him that !

 

Leon is a total A-Hole...do you remember all the problems I had with him over my shifter, that was unreal!

 

Sure I can hang in there another week. Thanks in advance - I will pay for the part and any shipping if you can get it.
