Ditto... Anyway, I set my cruise on a 90 mile round trip and was rewarded with over 27 mpg up from 24. This happened after I got my dyno tune.

The first picture was after a 180-mile trip to New Hampshire Motor Speedway, using the cruise control and keeping it at 70 mph most of the way. This is a stock 5-speed GT with the 3.55 axle.

The second picture was after running on the track for 70 miles.

Typically I get around 20 - 22 in 70% cross-town commute traffic / 30% highway. I just got 27.01 mpg on a recent trip that was 90% highway / 10% Seattle to Tacoma crawling traffic. That's bone stock manual trans with the 3.31 gears. That's using the ol' calculator method. 27.01 is the best mileage I've ever recorded in the year that I've owned the car. I just recently switched to 89 octane from 87 about 5 tanks ago because of pinging and mileage seemed to improve a little.

You could get 99.9 miles per gallon doing that...

I know ETHANOL is killing me. I have 4.10's, 20's on a 5 speed GT. Before the ethanol I was able to pull 19 city driving like grandma. 23 on the highway. Now, I'm lucky to stay 17. And barely hit 21 on the highway. Its amazing how some cars can pull so much MPG and others can't.

I'm getting about 19.2-19.6 driving wisely most of the time, shifting into the highest gear I can and leaving the fuel economy gauge on the message center. I still floor it a little bit and alot of my driving is at 35 mph or less up and down hills.

23.7 on dash. Notepad says 22.0. I always seem to put in almost one more gallon then the car says I need.

Mostly country road driving. Some interstate.

My fill ups run me about 3/4 to 1 gallon above what the computer states I need as well.

60 mph cruise control on flat terrain = 24 mpg in my '07 GT automatic. However, I drive 99% time in very hilly terrain: uphill, downhill, and uphill again. With a 4,500 rpm stall converter, 4.10 gears, supercharger, and a lead foot, I typically average 12-13 mpg around town. I could probably double that if I lived someplace flat like Kansas and stayed out of the boost, but that'll never happen.

I should mark on my calendar everytime a new thread on this topic pops up. Maybe a stopwatch would be better.

If I marked on my calendar every time somebody complains about similar threads/topics popping up, I wouldn't be able to see it any more!

After I started filling up at a different station my mileage dropped suddenly from about 19-20 to 16-17. Went through all the checks and couldn't figure it out. Started filling at a station that advertises "No Ethanol" and viola back to 19-20. So that's something to think about also.
