How I gapped my plugs.

I cut a cotter pin in half and bent and hooked it over one jaw of the vice. I then put the spark plug in a 9/16 deep socket. I lined up the cotter pin with the center of the electrode and tightened until it held in place. I used a .032 and .035 diameter pins to measure the gap. I gently closed the vice jaws until the .032 pin would enter but the .035 pin would not. You need to measure the gap with the plug out of the vice. When you release the vice the electrode springs back slightly. Be very careful doing this. If you close the gap too much you cant get it to open up again. I practiced this on an old set of plugs before I tried it on the new ones. I hope this helps you folks. George
