How do I break in a new car / engine?

Yup, here's how interpreted the "varying your speed" dealio.

Within the first 48 hours of ownership my car saw it's top speed, every rpm range, and some good twisty drivin

That is what you bought the car for right?

Thanks everyone for all the quick responses!

I've had a helluva time keping my foot out of it. I'm gonna try to keep a low profile 'til about 500 miles, change the oil, then open 'er up to see what she'll do!

Drop The Hammer

I picked up my 05 Black GT in Little Rock hit the interstate to Texarkana, AR with the hammer down. It was hard to keep the car under 85 and I did push it.

13,000 miles and two years later, never in the shop and no performance issues. These mustangs are great cars, enjoy.........
