I am installing the steeda ultralite springs and the instructions do not show a picture of them right side up. They show a different rear spring...probably a specific rate like stock. Because the ultra lites are a progressive rate spring, the windings are more closely spaced at one end and I am trying to decide which end is up? Or does it matter? thanks for the help.

What was the answer?
There weren't any instructions at all with mine and I didn't see a difference to show top or bottom.
How would I know if they weren't in right?

Actually, I was mistaken. I didn't find my answer because I was looking at the install of an earlier mustang, and you can't put those rear springs in wrong.

What I ended up doing is installing the rear springs by orienting the more loosely wound coils up. I noticed when I took the stock springs out, they were wound more loosely at the top also. I'm not sure if it is correct and I plan to call steeda on Monday morning for the final answer. I plan on having the dealer do the fronts thursday when they take care of my front end clunking. I will be sure to post what I find out tomorrow.

OK Well I spoke with steeda this morning and I have them in upside down! As described above, the spring is wound more closely together at one end than the other. This is the end that goes to the body of the car. It sure would be nice if steeda would revise their instruction sheet and make it specific for the ultralites. :bang:

Uh oh. Time to crawl under the car and take a look.
Thanks, Phil.
