Think I should try dropping the back down a little bit like you do when you install lowering springs?

Well, I switched the jackstands from the back to the front and now I have an even worse angle on it......I guess I'll need to try and find a friend who has a saw strong enough to cut it out of there.
You need 4 jackstand.. And the rear should be higher than the front.. By having an angle, you will be able to slide the mid out from the top of the rear axle. BUT at the same time you need to have the pipes "drop" enough in the front of the in order to pull this off..

Trying my best to explain, but it's kinda confusing using words with no pics.. If you lived closer, I'd be out to help ya..

When I removed mine...I had a lift and it came out in like 30 secs...I can't imagine doing it without one.

Well, I decided to take a break for a bit, my hands are killing me from trying to get those midpipes out of there. I've also run into a problem in that one of the pipes is now stuck in a position that I can't get it out of nor can I lower my car with it there. It's looking like I will now need to cut it either with an electronic saw or with a hacksaw of some kind.

sawzall....

edit: i know this may be obvious, but you do have the car jacked up from some where other than the rear axel, right? sorry, but I have to deal with problems on computers all the time, and sometimes the simplest solution is overlooked.

UPDATE!!! I got half of it installed tonight. I took out the rear springs and WAS able to get the mid pipes out. Once I pulled the spring out the pipe came out VERY easily. If any of you plan on installing your own exhaust, this will save you a LOT of frustration and time. I spent about 3 hours just trying to get the pipes out before removing the springs.

Big thanks again to all of you who replied...I was about to go insane. Well, MORE so than I already am.

I had the same problem. The way I did it was having one jackstand in the front of the opposite side of the car. Then had the jack in the middle of the car on the side I was trying to get out (had a jack stand in the rear almost touching the axle for safety reasons). The front and rear had to be pretty far up in order for it to work. Once I found the "correct" way to jack the car up, it only took me about 5 minutes to actually get the pipe out. The end of the pipe (muffler side) will turn towards the rear sprind and you just have to wiggle it, but it should come out just barely touching the spring. I figure you already have it off by now, but figured I would post in case someone else had the same problem.

Yeah, I tried jacking the car up in all kinds of directions and using stands that when as high as about 2ft or so and still couldn't get it out. Taking the wheel off and removing the rear spring was the easiest way for me. I was so sick of wrestling with that dang pipe that spending 15mins to take the rear spring out wasn't an issue. I was familliar with taking it out since I just lowered it 2 weeks ago.

Why wouldn't you just find someplace with a lift so you could just pull them out in like 5 mins? Seems like it woulda saved you about 5 hours of frustration...

Because I couldn't find any info online about the removal of them and didn't know that you either needed a lift or needed to remove the back springs. Knowing this now, I'd still rather do it at home and remove the springs than paying a shop to take them out by using their lift.

BTW, if you noticed any rattles in the car that may have annoyed you BEFORE the installed side kit... Wait till after you start her up AFTER the install.. All kinds of hidden rattles pop up..

Well worth dealing with for the sound..

I got finished with the install last night and have ZERO rattles!! Woohoo! It sounds great too! I'll try to take some sound clips tonight when I'm off work.
