My Cervini's kit arrived today and I'm trying to put the exhaust on. I got the mufflers off easily, but now I'm having trouble getting the stock pipes out (the pipe between the H and the mufflers. I've been struggling with them for 45 mins and just can't seem to find the right angle. Has anyone removed them and do you have any advice and/or pictures???

ok u have to loosen the "c" clamps in the middle connecting the h and over axles.....slide the mufflers as forward as u can from the back of the car. there will be little tabs on the c clamps and little circle things under the little tabs...lift the tabs and ull be able to slide the clamps making it easier to move all the pipes around

u have to be patient and try everything u can....since u have the mufflers off already, pull the over axles back toward the back of the car as far as u can and have someone slide them off of the "c" clamps under the car. they r a pain to wiggle loose but u can

Thanks for the tip. I've already taken them off of the clamps to the H pipe. I can get them in a spot where they ALMOST come off, but I'm affraid to pull them down really hard because of the stuff that they rest on in that spot.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing. I can get it to a spot where it almost looks like it would come out (the bends in it line up with what I'm assuming is one of the gas tanks) however in order to get it in that spot I have to wedge it up into what I'm guessing is the drivetain (forgive me, I've never worked on cars before and this is the first time I've ever messed with exhaust).

I had the same problem when installing my Cervini's kit.. You probably already know this, but be sure the jackstands are NOT supporting the rear axle.

Also, you have to lift the front end of the car I'd say at least 8 inches off the ground.. Then lift the rear end so you have a good angle going towards the front. Then you should be able to remove the mid section by pulling them out towards the front of the car (twist, pull, wiggle).. It will come out withOUT cutting them..

**BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS.. AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE 1 OTHER PERSON WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES.

If you don't feel comfortable doing it this way then don't.. It just what I had to do in order to get them mids off.. :bang:

I could never get them out either with the car on jackstands. It looked to me like it had to be higher off the ground to clear.

Well, I switched the jackstands from the back to the front and now I have an even worse angle on it......I guess I'll need to try and find a friend who has a saw strong enough to cut it out of there.

Stu... I had four jackstands and there wasn't enough clearance for me.
