Help with Pypes violator sound

Hey guys, installed axle back Pypes Violators on my stock GT/CS, hoping for a nice rumble and no drone... but no luck. Anything that makes these sound better, cut the drone and improve sound ? Even the idle doesn't sound good. Sure not like their site sound clips ....

Thx

The mrt catted H pipe would do the trick. Any catted pipe would give it nice rumble. You would probably get less drone with an x pipe...

Did you get the polished? I have the cheaper ones and I had a tiny bit of drone with the stock H pipe, but nothing to speak of at all. With the off road H I have 0 drone. That definitely doesn't sound right. Here's a few clips of mine. Are you sure you were sent the right mufflers?

I have them as well and have very slight drone but nothing really to speak of. I love the deep rumble of the Violators. Sounds odd, I have heard nothing but good from people that have them.

Thanks guys, I heard many good coments on these so I went for the cheaper non-polished ones. Mine sure don't sound like that, also rev'd them up in the underground and its like they don't have a V8 sound, not tinny either, more like a 6 cylinder noise, no rumble at lower rpm's, very bassy over that. I'd also say an annoying drone at the typical highway 2000 rpm range, which is also odd.
Dissapointed but interesting comments on the X and offroad, however do have emissions testing here. Maybe I did get the wrong ones, or they are not made right... ****

Where'd you purchase them from? Do they have Pypes engraved on the top of the tips?

Well if your thinking about taking those mufflers don't feel bad, i'm on my fourth set. The pretty pathetic flowmaster amercian thunders ( sorry to those that have them) were my first and I took them off after about 4 days because i was so disappointed. If I were you I would just start with a whole new set of mufflers. If not I would get a catted or offoad x pipe ( preferably the bassani x cause you can switch from highflow cats to offroad and even back to stock for emissions test)...If its bassy and drones the x should take care of that...

That is how my Pypes Violators sound in person. It also backfires just like in the video.

Here's mine, I have stock cats and the stock h-pipe:

I would call up Brenspeed- tell them your situation and see if they can do anything for you?
