HELP - BMR Lower Control Arms Bushings

I'm trying to replace the bushings. Are the bushings a press fit, as they are much larger than the holes in the LCAs? Any ideas?

I'm a little confused with your question. Do you have BMR LCA's and are having to replace the poly bushings? The reason I'm asking, BMR LCA's with poly bushings have grease fittings and those bushings should last a long, long time with a little grease every once in a while. I don't believe they are press fit, on the other hand I haven't ever replaced mine. If they are press fit it will only be .001" to .002" press. So, if they are noticably larger, I'd say you have the wrong bushing for your LCA's.

Also, I have been to the BMR site and the only poly bushings I see are Energy Suspensions set for the rear end housing, and it is a ***** of a job to replace that bushing.

If you ordered the bushings from BMR and gave them the correct information about which LCA's you have, you should have gotten the correct bushing. My suggestion is give them a call or send them an e-mail, I'm sure they will square it with you if they made a mistake with the parts.

They are BMR LCA's and the bushings are split. It could be I didn't grease often enough, the grease I used broke them down or they were a bad batch. Either way the bushings are split. Gee, thanks for your input, but I was in the middle of the R & R on them and thought maybe someone who might have done this might have some useful insight. I tried to call BMR they were closed, before I received the bushings I verified with them they were for the tubular LCA's and yes I plan to call in the morning.

Hey Ben,
Did BMR get back to you about if the replacement bushings are a press fit or not???

They sent me the wrong bushings. I explained when I ordered that they were for the old style Tubular LCA's. But, they sent the bushings for the new style. Hopefully I will have the replacments Friday. They indicated they would try to overnight. They are sending a prepaid label for the return bushings. So far so good.
