Have any of you changed your bulbs to the ultra white or even the ones with a hint of blue in them? If so can you recommend a brand because there seems to be a lot out there. Thanks!

I use Sylvania Silver Stars in my pickup. Ive tried several brands but like them the best. Should be fine for the Stang too. I tried those real blue lights before and hated em.

I do not believe the Sylvania has a silver star bulb made yet for the 05 stang yet. It is a different bulb than past Fords. I think I read it will have one by the end of the year.

I've heard conficting info on the Silver Stars for the 9008 series bulds. I have Silver Stars in my truck and LOVE them! They are GREAT!

I sent a note to Sylvania a few months ago asking about SSs and I was told they are working on them but it will be at least 9 months and probably closer to a year before they are out. Since then, other folks have been told that Sylvania can not make the 9008 bulb in the Silver Star line because the DOT does not allow the 9008 buld to be coated (which is one of the things that make the Silver Star work the way it does).

I'm just hoping they get it worked out and get the 9008 out in the Silver Star line eventually! I've never seen another bulb that works as well as these do and I tried a LOT of them in my truck trying to get decent light output. I was (edited) NOT happy until I tried the Silver Stars.

(What a STUPID mistake!!!!!)

Thanks for the replies. Silver Star was the type that I was looking at getting. That is pretty dissapointing that they do not produce them yet. Hopefully they will get them out pretty soon. Are the fog light bulbs the same as the headlights? If not, maybe they carry them for the fog lights.

These are the only "ultra white" 9008 bulbs I've seen thus far. Someone on this site has installed them and has pics. Do a search for "metal white".
