Headers that much louder?

Hey dudes i'm very interested in getting longtube headers. My exhaust set-up right now is borla stinger catback with bassani catted x, and it's the perfect pitch and loudness at this point. With regards to longtubes (such as american racing), how much louder will it make my current system? I really don't have the need for anything louder, but if it's just a smidge louder, that would be acceptable, as i'll be more apt to do this mod for the power increase. I feel my neighbors cringing each time i start my car in the morning (though they've never said anything) already, so i don't want to amplify the volume 10 fold. I guess the basic question is, how much louder and how will the exhaust note change if i do this mod? Thanks everyone

Depends on if you install a O/R H or X at the same time, taking the cats out will make a big difference.
Installed O/R H on mine when I installed the LT's, so I can't comment on sound difference between stock manifolds & headers only.

You will notice a little bit louder tone. The only way to keep your X is to have it custom fitted to the new headers you go with. Its better to go with the header manufactures mid pipe for fit.

agreed.... your exhaust will get louder with long tubes...

your making the flow less restrictive... along with the sound waves too

If you only want the sound a "smidge louder" as you put it, I wouldn't add longtubes, as its going to be more than a smidge . I have Borla Axlebacks, with American Racing L/Ts and their catted H-pipe, and its 105 dbs at full WOT while parked (I was in a sound off exhaust contest). Under load, its even louder, BUT IT SOUNDS SWEET!!!

You can't re-use the Bassini X you have now because they won't fit with LT headers. You can find catted shorty H or X pipes to fit with the LTs if need be.

I'd say they would be louder, but it's a matter of opinion as to what is tolerable.

If he has the bassani 3 piece X pipe, then it will fit Bassani LTs but more than likely have to be modified to fit other brands.
