Head Oil Restricters

Can anyone give me info on the S197 heads and the
Oil Resisters in them. What do they do, can the get plugged up?
Any info would be helpful... thanx

If there are any in there, they are there to meter the flow to the cam and / or valvetrain, etc, thereby ensuring lots of oil flow to the mains and rods.

If something was big enough to get in there and cause blockage, my friend you likely already have more serious problems.

+1 oil restrictors would be the least of your worries at that point.

What kind of problems are you having?
