Has anyone done their 30,000 mile service on their own?
I just reached 30,000miles and i wantd to do most of my 30k service at home. I know i need to do the fuel filter, air filter, cabin filter, and engine oil filter, and auto tranny flush(i'll have this done at the dealership) . Does anyone know if any other work has to do be done besides that?
I actually got the maintenance guide from this website https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenance/maintenance.asp
Fuel filter is about a 10 minute job. I've done mine twice at 15K intervals. The in-cabin air filter is in the passenger cowl and takes 5 minutes to change. Other than changing my oil, that's all the "regular" maintenence that I've done on my Mustang.
you know I havent looked into yet, I changed mine at 30k to switch to synthetic. in normal manuals that use gear oil its about 100k miles is the average, I know ppl that never change it. But these trannys that used auto fluid I havent a clue, first time I owned a manual that used auto fluid.
Totally forgot about fuel filter, thats a good preventative maint item to do, its cheap and easy. Never have gotten around to the cabin filter, things prolly nasty lol
