Has anybody ever tried to mount 16" rims on a GT?
I need winter tires & 215/60R17 Michelin - X-Ices are out of stock in western Canada.
Do the stock V6 Mustang 16" Painted Aluminum Rims fit on the GT? Is there adequate dynamic clearance?
If it works, I'll go with 205/65QR-16 Yokohama Ice Guard IG10s and feel safe driving through those Rocky Mountain passes. Please don't tell me to get a 4X4

Front brake clearance would make it near impossible.
This is what you need

Confirmed
Darn, you were right thump_rrr. The stock V6 Mustang 16" Painted Aluminum Rims do not fit on the GT . . . maybe with an inch spacer
Back to the 17" Bullitts and 215/60QR17 Michelin X-Ices. If the X-Ices are not available in Canada, I'll get them air freighted in, from Florida (for some reason the demand for winter tires there is low).
