GT500 conversion HELP!
I have not been able to have anyone install the harness for my foglights on the new bumper. I ordered the additional wire harness kit, but was told they didn't know what to do with it. The existing harness was said to be too short. Those of you who have done this, any help???

Answer ...
Cut the foglight pigtails from the Shelby GT500 wiring harness and splice into your existing GT fog light harness. Seems like a waste of a perfectly good wiring harness - but its the simple things in life that make life easy !!

What exactly is spliced? The harness is huge! Do you have pics of anyone who has done it?

Don't let negative comments like this get under your skin, especially when concerning using GT500 parts on a non-GT500. In fact, just look in the 2007 Ford Performance Parts catalog. Here's the ad for the Shelby hood on page 8. It says, "Fits 2005-07 Mustang GT when used with 2007 SVT Mustang Cobra fascia." To me, that's saying Ford approves/authorizes/encourages GT owners to install GT500 parts on their cars... I offer a scanned image of the hood as proof of the quote. In fact, when I ordered my GT500 hood, the parts guy said, "Want to dress up your Mustang, huh??" I said, "Yeah." He never said anything negative or looked at me with a funny expression.....

I do, however, have a problem when people stick on the GT500 emblems and such. Now that is just false advertising. If you don't have 500 ponies under the hood, don't have it on the side or back. I liked the way the GT350 rocker panel stripes looked, so I bought some with GT300 on them instead. As long as you're not false advertising it's fine in my book.
