Arrow GT Stall

My 06 GT, build date 05/30/06 has on occasion stalled momentarily during hard acceleration as in passing or getting to merge speed on the interstate. I contacted my tuner supplier brenseed.com. Brent emailed me and told me to contact my dealer, he said there's a TSB out on this problem! .... something to do with fuel pump or fuel system! looking for feed back on this issue or anyone who's had their car in for service on this issue!.....

It is TSB 06-9-9 I think, do a search for it and you will find lots of info. I had the repair done to mine, and it made a world of difference! Not only is the hesitation gone, but it seems to run much better with the A/C on as well, more power and less sluggish when it's hot out. Highly recommended!!

I just got my car back from the dealer for the hesitation and fuel gauge issues (TSB 6-10-13) and so far both seem to be fixed.

holy crap! I had no idea there were so many TSB's out for our cars! I have had 3 of the issues. Hesitation on a long drive once (I turned off the traction controll, and this seemed to fix it?), my fuel guage has gone crazy a few times (showed completely empty when I know I had 1/4 tank left, and a few other times it showed way lower than it should have), and the gas filling issue. I may have had the center console rattle as well, though it seems to come from more the driver side towards the front window.

I have only had these happen maybe once or twice since I have owned the car (February), and haven't experienced them in the past 5 months or so. Wonder if I should take it in anyway? Wonder if they will still honor my car under warrenty because I have gears, intake and exhaust?

I have to admit I was surprised too! at what seems to be a long list of TSB's...I have a close Friend who's a GM Institute of technology Grad..he currently works on the Corvette design team, has stated more than once ..never buy a car until its in the third year of a major design change! states it usually takes two production runs to work the bugs out! Some of these TSB's probably should be silent recall's! I'm taking the whole list with me to the service dept! if you got any removable engine mods like Cold air intake and computer tunes pull them off and flash back to factory settings before you take your car in, these problems are why I have held off on any major modifacations... need to work the bugs out before we void our warranty's ...unless you don't mind paying for Ford's mistakes!!...

those things only void warrenty if they can trace the problem back to the aftermarket parts, correct? If these are TSB's, it's already a known problem, so I would guess that they can't say anything about the aftermarket parts? Anyone done this yet, how did it turn out?

I took my car in as is with printouts of the two TSB's and they replaced the fuel pump and sender units without question. The issues were obviously unrelated to any modifications or the TSB's would state such.

That's good to hear!

Will any ford dealer do it? Or does it have to be the dealer I purchased from? I don't really like the dealer I purchased from, only reason I went with them is because they went the lowest.

My statement about re-flashing your car back to factory codes before taking it in for service on this TSB was not some statement I made off the cuff ! it was what was suggested to me by the company who sold me my cold air intake and SCT tuner when I contacted them about the stall issue....true none of the TSB's Ive read that are posted imply or state that any problems are inflected or caused by modifications! and in the same manner related problem's and or similar issue's can be construed and be judged by the warranter as related issue's at the time of service do to unauthorized modification of said product...as in all warranties, as in life better error on the side of caution..

It might be a good idea to reflash back to stock anyway, because I think when I had the TSB done on my car, the dealer did reflash the car to an updated version of the programming. If they did this with your tune in it, it may cause problems when you go to plug in your tuner and the tuner is expecting to see "X" version of software and it finds "Y" version. See this post for further...

Yes, you make a good point. I have an 05 which Doug says they don't reflash, so I didn't bother. I've noted my strategy just in case. It also helps to find a good service advisor to keep you trust.
