Gt engine swap, i have exhaust questions

hey guys i have been around the forums for a while but as a v6 owner. i just picked up a v8 and im about to go through with the swap. i am debating on which exhaust set up to go with. i know im going with long tube headers, and a catted x but not sure which one will produce the most hp or best sound? i have listened to many exhaust clips but they all seem to be a couple years old. any sugestions or feedback? thanks guys

Sound is pretty subjective......when I researched for an exhaust, I did not like the raspy sound of the X pipes. Thus, I went with an off road H from Pypes and it sounds very nice with the newer Flowmaster axlebacks. Kind of reminds me a bit of the good ole five OH sound from the fox body stangs

I am going to probably add some JBA shorties next year which should really make it sound aggressive. There were some nice clips on YouTube.

best sounding Mustang Ive heard to date was stock except for a K/N cai and Cor$a muffler$...

I'm sure it wasnt the strongest out there, but it really sounded good to my ear the x pipes sound kinda raspy...
