GT 500 / Brembo Brake Upgrade Questions

For those of you that have converted your GT to the GT 500 brakes, how much of a difference did these make? When I went to 19" rims and 275/285 tread recently I noticed a loss in braking performance so I am thinking about these as an economical upgrade. I upgraded the stock pads preoviously and they made a difference but I think I need more.

Also does anyone know if the Saleen heritage 19" wheels will fits with the Brembos without spacers?

Finally I am going to go to ss lines as well, what brand is best bang for buck?

What pads are you running? What tires? Going to the Brembos makes a slight difference in pedal effort, but at the end of the day your tire dictates your braking performance. I would suggest trying a more aggressive pad first. Also a good flush of the brake fluid will firm up the pedal feel.

FWIW, when on the stock front calipers with EBC yellow pads (at temp), running 275 R-compounds, I could still activate the antilock. The most noticeable difference I now notice with the Brembos is they completely resist fade on the track and they are easier to modulate during trail braking.

I noticed better high speed braking with the Brembos. Probably because they don't fade like the stock brakes.

Running the Saleen Stoptech on my 08, and yes there is a truly different feel than the stock ones. No more fade, and braking from high speeds is def more controlled. Also they look BAD-AZZ !!!

Bought em for 700$ and installed myself. Was a snap really.

my assumption is yes since those wheels are also on the gurney car that has the 6 piston caliper's.
