Rene'.....Thanks for all the work you put into organizing this group buy. I have been researching this product as well, and they are coming out with a different construction of the cover. The one everybody is group buying is fiberglass constructed, but they are in the process of coverting this over to an injection molded type that will be impact and heat resistent. Just wanted to make everybody aware of this, because the new version will be more durable, and according to an e-bay auction, they are going to be re-tooling for the new production process as they sell off the fiberglass stock....... It may end up being a bit more cost (who knows), but it gets pretty hot under the hood, and I want the best construction possible for my $$$.

IMO its a little early to state its too expensive. When and if Ford offers one as an option, I can imagine what that will cost. If it fits, and the quality is good, then it appears more than reasonable compared to what I have seen for *****, shift handles/*****, etc, being offered.

People need to realize that it's not just plastic and paint they're paying for. There's usually a ton of R&D involved in any project like this and that costs the developer a lot. Personally, I think it's a deal which is why I have one on the way!
