Got question on header install
Well as I have just barely completed one side of a JBA shorty install. Yeah you could use ramps but you will need a floor jack to jack up the motor off the mounts in order to get them in. I don't think the steering needs to be moved, just disconnected and moved out of the way as it goes right through where your manifold is.
Good luck it was a beeaaatch.

hmmm, well this don't even sound fun anymore to me....i was looking forward to coming home and installing the headers, mid pipe, and the exaust in a matter of an hour...but now it seems thats not possible lol
I just installed Dynatech headers on mine and it is no 1 hour job! I took my time and set aside an entire weekend to make sure I could complete it. I would say I spent almost 10 hours over the course of 3 nights. I did it completely by myself and it was a challenge but I am very happy with the results. A local shop wanted $600 to do the install so it was worth it to do it myself. I probably wasted an hour and a half or so raising and lowering the car at the beginning/end of each work session because I could not close my garage door with it up on the stands. (I had very carefully positioned the car to give myself maximum clearance in the front but with it jacked up the rear bumper would have been hit by the garage door and with the battery out I couldn't move it. DOH!) The catted X pipe was more difficult than I expected mainly because it is in 4 pieces and I could have used an extra set of hands. Good luck with your install, it is worth it in the long run!
