Got my Stang retuned by JJ at Woodbine Motorsports
I've been running the 93 oct Bamachips tunes for awhile now but I've been getting a lot of lean error codes as of late. I'm about to be out of warranty so I wanted to make sure the car was running sold and I wasn't hurting the engine. When I had my car dyno'd last year my best was 296.6rwhp 308.9 rwtq. JJ runs a one man shop like Doug at Bama so he works by appointment only. I dropped off the car this morning so he could work on it in between others cars.
JJ puts a bung in the exhaust on all the cars he tunes so he can use a wideband air fuel meter. Most of the tuning is done during road test he does with the car. After that was all done he setup a dyno appointment with TurboEast in Mt. Airy, MD since he doesn't have a dyno on site. I met him at TurboEast to see at least the dyno part of the tuning.
On the first pull my car put down 305.86rwhp and 317.44rwtq. He did four pulls with about five minutes or so between each pull. Here is what I got on the fourth which ended up being the best pull. I'll try to scan the graph tomorrow.
Dynojet
307.08rwhp
318.52rwtq
Run Conditions
86.53 F
29.54 in-Hg
Humidity 26%
STD: 1.03
My A/F was pretty solid at 12.5 almost the whole way never going outside of 12.4-12.6 range.
Needless to say I'm very happy with JJ's work. He has a good rep in the Lightning community and since the S197 has come out is making a name here as well. If you are in the Southern PA, MD, Northern VA area it's worth making the trip to see JJ for a tune. While Doug's tune was good nothing beats a tune done by a good tuner to your specific car.

To me this seems like pretty good power from just a JLT2 and Steeda UDP. What do you all think? I can tell you that next I'm going straight to a Whipple!

Congrats, those seem to be really good #'s
I am about to take the plunge into getting a CAI. My dealer (service director and parts manager) stated that if I use the Steeda Kit and Steeda SCT tunes that they provide, then it will not effect my warranty. So I think I am going that route. Costs a little bit more, but I am pretty conservative and to me its good insurance.

The Bung and Plug was $75.00
Tune vechicle for driveability, power and economy. Time is for on and off dyno tuning. Read world Road tuning. $337.50 (That was for 2.5 hours)
So overall it was $412.50 for everything which I had two tunes when we were done. 93 oct for summer and 91 oct for winter since they put the crap in the gas here in MD and of course for travel where they don't have 93 oct.
