Got my SCT tuner today and have a question?

I loaded up the "race tune" and the light for the traction control in the gage face is on all the time but the button for the traction control is lit like it's off? Is this some kind of race setting? I loaded up the "street tune and it's back to normal. And when i was really getting on it with the race tune the wheels would only chirp into second gear. normally I can roast em.

Not sure if it's diff on mine cuz it's an '11 but I don't have any lights on when I've switched between tunes...

Are you using the generic tunes that came on the SCT, or from a tuner? I've seen tuners turn off the traction control on race and high octane tunes, but the dash light shouldn't be on. If the traction control is on all the time then the car is "sensing" wheel spin and braking, I would avoid the race tune until somebody who knows more comes by.

IHave a bamma custom tune. Actually 3 tunes. One 87 street one 93 performance and one 93 race. I emailed bamma yesterday and hopefully they get back to me.

OK a little info for all you out there. I called Bamma and they said that the lights that are on are NORMAL for the "race" tune. I noticed that when I raced the car and shifted into second i got little to no wheel spin (that would be optimal at the track). So if anyone was wondering this is normal. They also said if I'm not happy with it they would send a new tune that keeps the TC on at start up. So thats cool. I'm gonna run it at the track and see how it go's. The performance tune rocks.

Funny part of the story was that I called SCT and waited on hold for 30 minutes... Only to realize that I needed to call BAMMA! oops.
