Got My GTAs on!!
Hey all, well I bit the bullet and swapped out my Borlas for GTAs. Only took 45 mins to swap pipes and mufflers on a lift! For me, at the tender age of 35, the drone was just too much. I swapped the Borlas and the stock pipes with resonators for GTAs and Pypes stainless overaxle pipes. No other way to say it, the GTA's are quiet compared to the Stingers, and I immediately started thinking about losing the cats again, but this is gonna have to do for now. i drove it, I floored it, I liked it. And best part...noooo Droooone!! I can drive and enjoy again ![Smile](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thank you FRPP!!

BTW, the stingers and pipes with resonators are in the for sale forums, for anyone brave enough! Good prices too!!

They are not very loud, especially compared to the stingers, but they will get a bit deeper after a few hundred miles. I'm quite happy with mine.
At my ripe 'ol age of 50, one weekend of the drone was enough for me!

I went straight from stock to the GTA's. I came close to buying those stingers but. To much complaining about drone and like you mentioned. I want to be able to enjoy the ride. Maybe one day I'll switch it up.
Anyways, glad ya found something you liked

I agree with Rich. The GTA's sound very good at WOT but do lack that great tone the Borla's have when just putting around. At least my wife will now get back in the Stang and ride with me. She refused after her first ride with the offroad / Borla combo.

I am thinking with some longtubes, and or a performance h pipe will keep it low and louder. If i do change again I will start with a performance h first, then the long tubes. Trying to keep the lower tone with no drone is what I would like to keep working towards. The GTA's are very nice tone.

my xpipe i had made it higher pitched and more raspier like you hear in that clip above. That is why I am thinking about the h first then long tubes for better flow/hence louder.
