the first day I had the car at my house I raced a mercedes cls500 (302hp/4door). It was a quick car, but it has about the same power as a stock 05+ GT but with a lot more weight. Pulled ahead by 5 cars and I had a friend in the passenger seat.

If there was a kills forum on here, I'd have a few tales of my acclerator getting stuck for a little bit.

I got beat by a srt-4 stage 3 a couple of day's ago. He pulled about a half of a car's length by the time I hit third and then I started to pull on him but missed 4th. I had my a/c on and it seemed like my car wasn't running at peak, does the a/c affect performance. It doesn't seem like my intake/tuner package could take any longer to get here.

No but I really want to...I figure they would pull a couple cars or so on me up to about 110mph, but still would be a cool race. I assume you are talking bout a stock c5 corvette, which would typically run somewhere around a low 13.

edit:

I raced a C5 on a drive back from Las Vegas (to L.A.) down I-15. We were playing cat and mouse for a while until finally the lanes opened up and I floored it. He was on my *** for a few moments until I started to pull on him. Before I knew it I was at 130+ and he was looking pretty small in my rearview. Now granted, I think the dude just chickened out, but a kill's a kill.

Yep, a CAI and tune woulda made the difference. They really "awaken the beast", so to speak. I've smoked a couple of SRTs, no prob.

These SRT dudes are always "whistling" at me with their blow-off valves....they think their cars are the s**t. :ROTFL:

PHHHHHTTTT!!! I usually respond with my own V8 music.

Yep, I think with my current mods, I'm pretty close to a stock C5 Vette. Now if I could only get blown, I'd start hunting them new fandangled ones!!
