I love the stance of the car with these tires and they also give me far superior traction from launch than I ever got from the stock BFG KDWS tires.

Here are a couple of pictures for you, front and rear...

Sorry for the picture whoring...

Take a good look at this one guys. It is one of the finest, well thought out, modified Mustangs you will ever see!

I personally think that the 255/45 is the perfect tire for the 18X8.5 wheel. More width and you can still rotate your tires. I am running Nitto Invo tires on my wheels and would recommend them for a good summer tire.

Beautiful car Andy!

I did this exact switch 2 years ago. Comparison pictures below. Visually, the tires are only barely wider. I think the tread pattern was more visually different than the size. Biggest benefit was a bigger rubber lip over the rim which help avoid scraping curbs a little.

Got the Nittos from American muscle for under $800 shipped!!
Couldn't agree more, I Nitto NT555's in 255/45/18 all around and these tires look and perform very nicely. I don't track 'em, but I can tell you I can't break these loose like I used to with the BFG's.

I got mine from Discounttire.com for 715 with free shipping and paid about 90 bucks from a local tire place for mounting, balancing, disposal, etc etc.

I like em a lot better all around than the stock tires.

Beautiful Mustang ! clear corners look great with your head lights. Love the billet grill and the lower fog lights. Very clean !

What kind of tail lights do you have ? I have never seen those before. I like the way the reverse lights run all the way down.

Very well thought out mods.

25/45/18 Continental Extreme Contact DWS's on my '07 GT. Awesome all season, high performance tire that fit nicely on the 18x8.5 fanblade wheels with a little room to spare....

Thank you and sorry for my late reply, haven't had a chance to get on here for a while.

The front end is all Shelby GT-H and the clear corners are just off of ebay.

The rear light clusters are called Eurolights and we have to run them this way in the UK due to the fact that we must have amber turn signals front and rear. What you are seeing as reversing lights are actually the turn signals. I have replaced the amber bulbs with the chrome type as I hated that 'egg yolk' look. The very lower part is still the reversing lights.

Again, sorry for the thread jack.

Andy

I have had 22-24 tires for my car and it only has 43k on it, lol.

at one point I did make the switch to the 255/45/18 as well.
Perfect choice for factory 18" wheel.

My mustang still has the factory tires and rims, if I change to a 245/45/18, size tire on my factory rims will I run into any problem, such as tire rubbing or rubbing in turns?
