New Engine in my 05

Well the new engine is installed and from what I hear sounds incredible. It's still at the shop getting the final tune and wouldn't you know that the SCT tuner from Bama/AM crapped out and they have to send it back to SCT. Going to cost me another 100.00 to get it fixed. Never been used but I have had it for a couple of years so I believe it is out of warranty. Oh well, just have to wait a little longer. I will pick it up in April once the streets are totally clear of salt. I can't wait to get behind the wheel. This is phase one. Phase 2 is suspension and phase 3 is the SuperCharger. This is a FR 5.3L short block which should be good up to 1200 HP. Going to be FUN to drive. I hope the pictures are not too big. I may have to resize later.

Here is the 5.3L Stroker Block. Looks really good.

Here is the engine back in the car. Getting tuned and then it's ready to pick up.

Yep. It's still at Paul's. I will pick it up sometime in April. I am sure it will be done by then as it's in for the tune now so I assume everything else is done. They only had the gauge pods, hood vents and tune left to do as far as I know. These guys know what they are doing for sure. I think it's set for about 400rwh when all is said and done. Next step will be the supercharger but that is next year after saving up some more money.

Cool! PAE does some great work. I have their full length subframe connectors and they installed my chassis/suspension components aside from what I did.

The suspension setup is my next stage. I will be taking it back down to them probably in sept. to get that done. They already gave me a basic list of what I need and an estimate. Then in the spring will be phase 3 which is the SC. All around looking for a little over 1000 hp on a street car. I want very few people to surprise me.

Thanks. I can't wait to drive it this spring/summer even if it's not done yet. I even love the dash pod and gauges. I see installing gauges is no easy task either from the picture they took. Looks like the whole dash got torn apart.

Here is a nice frontal pic of the car as it's just finished. Now I just have to wait a bit to go get it. Like getting a new car. Then again, I just paid for a new car....
