Fuel tank is getting replaced, waiting on parts :(
My baby (05 GT) is at the dealer getting the fuel tank replaced due to the TSB problem.
The dealer does have the new fuel tank but they're missing 2 gaskets. :bang:
I'm currently driving a rental (Ford Taurus) - the dealer's paying for it.
Not a big deal but I hope the new tank fixes the problem.

Dont repalce the tank!!!!!!!!!! Mine cought on fire yesterday and burnt the entire car. I was at Ford all day today and they have acknowleded that it was the tank and I just put in an order for an '06. The only good thing is that I am getting all kinds of goodies at no cost. They believe its a glitch in the new tanks. They are being very nice to me and giving. Thats for sure.

So are you saying my car is going to burn down now?Should i be calling ford?I think they would be notifying us buy now.Was it just your tank?Maybe the install went wrong and they are just covering it up.

Well they would not give me details. I know they know more than what they are telling me. They asked me not to tell anyone about this for whatever reason. I hope know one comes on this site but what could they do anyways at this point. At first the dealer said that they were 100% certain the install was done correctly but after a few calls to Ford they said that it could have been the install. So, I dont know if they are trying to cover up something or what. :bang: :bang: :bang:

Ok I feel bad enough now. I am just messing with you. Please no hard feelings. Just a little joke.
I can tell you that I did replace the tank and the problem was solved. I have gased up 3-4 times since the replacement and no more problems.
