Fuel Injectors
I have a question....if you do all these kind of mods like throttle bodies, and CAI and long tube headers, and all these air mods, shouldnt you put in bigger injectors to keep them not working as hard. I have a set of 39# injectors i figure maybe it would keep the stock ones from over working too hard. The problem is, i can hear my injectors they are so loud and i can hear them ticking when i lift my hood over the longtubes and exaust..and it just seems odd to me, like as if my injectors are working too hard

NO, until you add something major as in forced induction or stroker engine you will not need any larger injectors.
The stock 3v injectors are 24lbs injectors and the PCM also makes changes to the fuel pressure to further compensate for fuel requirements. It can raise the fuel pressure to rates of 55psi and higher if the PCM determines so. A fuel injector is rated at 43psi of fuel pressure, so the more pressure the higher the rating. These injectors are more then enough that any 4.6 n/a combo with mild bolt ons and even cams and ported heads can handle.
On a side note, IF you have a combination that truly requires more fuel then the stock injectors can handle then I recommend upgrading the pump as well. Think about it, you're increasing the overall output of the injectors then you should alway increase the output of the pump feeding them.
Thanks, Chip
