Fuel guage stuck.
Fuel guage stuck.
Recently I went on a drive in my stang. I did a nice long peel out right away. Looking at my gas gauge it was on E. I had just filled it full the week before. After checking the whole fuel line for leaks I didn't discover any. Turned on the car a half hour later the gauge was 1/4 full and slowly worked its way up to full. I mean it was slow. Has anyone had this happen to anyone, and does anyone know why it happened?
It could also be your cluster going bad , a lot of us have had it happen and it affects different gauges. I replaced my whole cluster with a GT500 , but others have just replaced the stepper motor for the gauge that was bad. Do a search on the forum "gauge stepper motor" ...

Sounds like the stepper motors on your gauges are going bad. Some of my gauges started acting strange. ordered some stepper motors off ebay and fixed it for a lot less than the dealership wants for a new instrument panel.
