FRPP X-Pipe Keeps Getting Loose!

After installing a FRPP X-pipe, one side of the X-pipe to mid-pipe connection keeps getting loose. When me and my mechanic installed it, it wasn't a perfect fit. The X-pipe was at a higher angle than the mid-pipes. We used the supplied strap band clamps and tightened them down as much as possible. Three times it got loose and we decided to take out the middle portion of the band clamp (I don't know the correct technical name for it) in order to make it tighter. Again, I think I noticed that the tailpipe is sticking out further than the other side which means it's getting loose again.

Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Maybe a new (different style) clamp?

Try to refit the X-pipe better for a straighter connection?

I had mine installed Tuesday, local shop simply welded mine in place and gave me free labor for the clamps that came with the x pipe. I installed my GTA's this evening and I feel like a kid at Christmas, but it has to stop raining here before I can drive my Pony.

make sure your pipes are the same size. If one is slightly bigger than the other you will have this problem. Autozone has a free loaner pipe expander if you need to open one of the pipes a little. I had the same problem and this is how I fixed it.

ShowGT,
How do you like the set-up and sound of the FRPP X-Pipe with GTA's? I am looking at the same thing.
Looks like I will help a buddy of mine with the same project this weekend. Hopefully we wont run into any snags.

I have the same FRPP X-Pipe / GTA Mufflers setup... It friggin' awesome! A nice deep, mellow sound that only gets better the farther you press the gas pedal...

And I had my X-Pipe welded up as well... The shop I went to recommended getting it welded, so I told them to go for it! I have only had the X-Pipe on less than a week, but so far, no problems!

Phantom26, as stated above here by Iceknyght this car came alive last night on the hoist when we turned it over. I can't get the smile off my face here, but it was raining last night and still today so no test drive. My car does not see rain or snow. I can't believe I got this kind of results from Ford parts. Well under $400 and all well spent. I will get some photos if needed but looks like all others on the forum here.

I had mine welded a few weeks ago and it's not going anywhere. It's also welded on the Shelby GT by the way.
