FRPP x-pipe

Is anyone running the FRPP x-pipe with stock mufflers? I'm curious if it sounds/feels any different.

I was originally thinking SLP Loudmouths but now I'm considering FRPP x-pipe and FRPP Stingers. I'd probably do the x-pipe first cause it's cheap - around $100, then save funds for the axle-backs.

How do the FRPP Stingers compare to SLP for sound? I'm a little concerned that the SLPs might be too loud although I guess that's the point, right? Also I'm a little concerned about the SLP quality, I've seen a couple threads about SLPs wearing at the hangers.

I've got the FRPP X-pipe with Flowmasters. The X-pipe did change the sound at WOT, and a very subtle change at idle. At WOT it might be a little bit louder, but it does not sound as harsh- it's a more refined sound. I like it. At idle, IMHO, the Flow's sound less like a motor boat now.

Anyone out there yet had a chance to mate the FRP X pipe with the FRP (or Borla) stingers????? I've got the stingers now, love 'em (even the little bit of drone isn't so bad anymore, I just avoid that part of the rpm range at cruising speed) but I'm not in any hurry to amplify the drone if that's what the X pipe would do. Any thoughts???

Thanks - Mark

Will FRPP X-Pipe fit onto V6 Y-Pipe?

Has anyone tried using specifically the FRPP x-pipe to convert a V6 to dual exhaust? Looks like it might work, at least I hope so.

GRAYPNY, did the x-pipe cause any drone?

Did you install yourself? If so any issues to be aware of?

Thanks

No drone and I installed it with the help of my neighbor. Pretty straight forward install.

I also have an h-pipe sitting around, that I replaced with a Pypes O/R h-pipe, from my 05 GT. I just don't want to chop it up for the V6 and would rather use the FRPP x-pipe, if it will just bolt up after a couple cuts to the y-pipe. I guess I can measure my old h-pipe and see how it compares to the y-pipe.

Cool, Thanks! I wonder what kind of HP and torque increase this alone adds. Do you think it's 5HP or 5ft lbs of TQ?

Several years ago a magazine compared h vs. x-pipes on a 4.6 2V Mustang. As I recall the x-pipe picked up a few, maybe 4-5hp, above ~4000 rpm and lost an equal amount below that speed.
