Frpp intake manifold smog problems?
I have an 2005 mustang and I want to buy the frpp intake manifold but I don't want to have to swap it out every 2 years. I was told that it is not 50 state legal. Does anybody in California have this manifold? Would there be any problems smogging it?

Doesn't say if it is or is not smog legal, however the FRPP catalog does say it requires a tune.
Given the way the 3v works, the manifold itself shouldn't have a significant effect on emissions. The 4.6 3v uses the cam phasers to replace the EGR function that older engines used or like what is required on the 5.4 SC in the GT500 (yes it has an egr valve) and its a dry flow manifold.
More than likely, the requirement for a new tune is what wouldn't make the manifold emssions compliant.
edt: The FRPP catalog does plainly list those items which aren't street legal in the description.

Is the manifold worth the money with the mods that I have or for the price should I just get delete plates. I currently have Hot rod cams, k and n Intake, ud pulleys, bbk throttle body, shorty headers, x pipe, boom tubes, 3.73's.

MM&FF did a test on the 3v Racing intake in various configurations - ultimately with the intake, hot rod cams, t-body, stage II FRPP CNC'd heads and long tubes the engine made 430hp (sans accessories).
