Thanks for the link Walt
Lots of opinions for sure, but I hope somebody does a good baseline comparison of, let's say...stock vs stock + the intake. I may give a call to the FRPP hotline. Their folks have always been pretty helpful to me in the past.

Or if you have lots of money and just like the looks over stock. If I had the cash to blow I'd buy a black crinkle one along with matching valvecovers just for the looks.

Much better. Any HP numbers?

If the intake and throttle body can get up to a gain of 40HP and the cams alone can get a gain of 30HP (without the Ford Racing heads, 50 HP with) then it should be good for a total 70+HP. This is in harmony with the fact that the package that has the same parts including the Ford Racing heads is supposed to make a gain of 100+ HP. We need someone with the Ford Racing cams to add the throttle body and intake and dyno their car.

You can probably get a BBK or Granatelli TB and Brenspeed Detroit Rocker cams, but you'd still be $1600.00 +, Btw, I assume that a new tune is necessary as well.

I know I just mean when a company puts a "package deal" together, it should be cheaper to buy than each part seperately. IE when you get a cai/tuner/tune package it's cheaper than buying each part by itself.

I did price the parts. Comp Cams are $659.00-$699.00. Every FRPP dealer is at $599.00 for the intake and TBs go $399.00 +. I even looked at the C&L intake and thats $100.00+ more than the Ford.
I like to save money like the next guy, but I checked and it looks like Ford has done their marketing homework.

Edit: Just cause frpp etc has the parts at a listed price doesn't mean that's how much you have to pay. (the frpp cams are retail 849 and i got em for 700 new.)
Maybe I'm just a tightwad. But I think 1500 sounds a lot better.
